Alright, so NBC doesn't like when you borrow their stuff. The first video I posted featuring Slash debuting By The Sword on Jay Leno got kiboshed and the one you see on here isn't the best quality.
To make it up, here is the video from their stint the very next day on the Craig Ferguson late show.
Even though I rarely watch TV (and miss Conan somewhat), I tuned in to watch Jay Leno last night. Specifically, to see a familiar face that is Todd Kerns hitting the stage with Slash. Performing his first single By The Sword from the self titled album, Slash unveiled his new band and new sounds. The performance featured Wolfmother'sAndrew Stockdale, and everyone's favorite drummer, Brent Fitz. I've had the opportunity to meet most of these guys, and all I can say is that this combination of talent on stage is likely one of the best I've seen in a long time.
Likely most memorable, TK formed the band Age of Electric back in the 90's and received notable success with the singles "Remote Control" and "Ugly". One might also remember Static In Stereo featuring Todd and his brother John. He also hits the stage weekly to packed houses in Las Vegas with The Sin City Sinners and joined by all-star guests.
I always get a sense of pride when I see things like this. Why? Because TK is from my stomping grounds - always cool to see someone you know do what they love and find success at it.
I found this picture from way back in the day when hanging out with the "Todd Squad". I had to laugh because TK still looks the same - and I look NOTHING like that these days. This must have been more than 6 years ago for sure. There's Dayvid, Kevin, me, ''Squidd", and TK.
